How to play music on multiple Bluetooth speakers at once (even different brands)

Two portable Bluetooth speakers

You have a JBL in the kitchen, a Sony on the balcony and a Bose in the bedroom. You want the same song everywhere. Your phone, however, connects to one Bluetooth speaker at a time - and every brand's "party mode" only links speakers of that same brand.

The usual options - and their catch

  • Brand party modes (PartyBoost, Party Connect, PartyUp, Stack Mode): great, but only between speakers of one brand, often one product line.
  • Dual audio on some Android phones: two speakers at most, and each one has a different Bluetooth delay - you hear an echo between rooms.
  • A Bluetooth transmitter with two outputs: extra hardware, two speakers, the same delay problem.
  • Apps that play the same stream on several phones: every phone needs to stay in the room, and syncing over the internet is fragile.

Why different speakers never sound together

Every speaker adds its own delay. Bluetooth typically adds 100-300 ms, a Wi-Fi speaker buffers a second or more, a TV soundbar adds its own processing. Play the same song on all of them at the same moment and they still come out at different moments - that's the echo you hear in the hallway.

The fix: measure each delay and line them up

OmniSound Hub AI KROSS runs on your PC or Android device and connects to every speaker you own - Bluetooth of any brand, Sonos over Wi-Fi, DLNA network speakers and TVs. It then measures how late each speaker is (one click, with the microphone) and holds the faster ones back by exactly that much. The result: the same note, at the same moment, in every room - and it stays that way for hours, because clock drift is corrected while the music plays.

Step by step

  1. Pair your Bluetooth speakers with the PC or Android device running OmniSound.
  2. Open Speakers → Find devices and add them (plus Sonos, the TV, the PC speakers…).
  3. Press Calibrate with the microphone. The hub plays a short sweep, listens and sets every delay.
  4. Play anything - or ask the AI DJ: "upbeat summer party, no slow songs".
